I found this picture of a girl at one of the holiday camps in the 60s. I love the idea of having a competition for the "Ideal Holiday Girl". I have also used the "Ideal Holiday Girl" as the title of my holiday camp collection. I think it sums up the fun and playful vibe I want and fills the space of me wanting to win the ideal holiday girl pageant too....haha

The holiday Collection
I want to design a collection based on holiday camps as they were in the 1930s to 50s. I love the idea of these family camps, with days spent laying in hammocks by the pool to taking dancing classes in one of the many theme halls. I want a range of outfits that could be worn by the “Ideal Holiday Girl”. The carefree, playful, relaxed and fun atmosphere of these holiday camps will be a big influence in my collection. My outfits will be able to be worn in the day, walking along the beach or out to dinner in one of the camp restaurants.

Mr Pink-Whistle
Made this collage from one of of my Enid Blyton books called "The Adventures of Mr Pink-Whistle". Thought it was a crazy drawing becasue its got two kids wearing glasses which allow them to see pixies.......bit creepy.
